Florence Dauchez is a French journalist and television host. During her career she was active on a variety of different TV channels where she presented different programmes for the French media.
She began her career in 1986 as an intern at Figaro and in 1988 at the morning news at TF1 Première. She was a reporter abroad and covered among others the fall of the Berlin Wall.
In 1990, she joined the redaction of France 3 and that of 'La Cinq'. She directed a documentary about Algeria for France 3, which won the Albert Londres Prize, the Prix du Festival International Leipzig, the Ondas Award and it was nominated for the Emmy Awards. In 1994, Florence Dauchez presented a monthly magazine on France 2, and combined this with the JT in the evening on the weekends.
In 1997, she was chosen to present 'Zone Interdite' ('Forbidden Zone') at M6. She resigned at the end of the season due to disagreements.
From June 2000, she hosted the 'Olympic Challenge', a weekly program on France 5. From 2004 till June 2005 Florence Dauchez joined the Franco-German channel Arte to present 'The journal of culture'.
From September 2005 to June 2007 she was the host for the emission of '+Clair' ('+Clear') at Canal+, a twenty-minute television programme about the news. In addition of the evening news, she also interviewer of 'Le grand témoin' ('The great witness') where she interviews a guest each night at 20.45 on I>Télé.
