Biography of prof. dr. ir. Iteke Weeda
Sociologist and professor of Emancipatory Issues
Iteke Weeda was (until 2006) associate professor of Sociology at Wageningen University. She is full professor of Gender Studies at the University of Groningen. She published research at the areas of 'masculinity' and 'femininity'; relationship, marriage and divorce; friendship, intimacy and eroticism at work; love spirituality and science. Her last publication is 'Liefde in vele facetten' ('Love in many facets'); Servire 2007.
She gives lectures about communication, emotional intelligence and intuitive development and what that means for your personal life style and working routine (your view on product and customer focus, motivation and pleasure at work). Iteke Weeda has a broad vision and insight in cultural changes, which results in topics like 'changing positions and identities of males and females at home and at work', love, relations, functional friendship networks and living together, health care, the environment and telecommunications. Her lectures are always followed by vivid discussions.
